Following research into the role of women on the home front during the First World War, this new artist’s film features local Perthshire women performing for the camera. Inspired by ‘silent protest’ and representing women’s public voice, this new artist’s film is about staying silent and speaking out in a world that won’t listen.

This artist’s film is the latest commission and acquisition for the Horsecross Arts collection of contemporary art. Its world premiere on Threshold artspace’s single and multiple screens at Perth Concert Hall runs from 5 to 13 May 2017. It coincides with the premiere of The 306: Day at Station Hotel, Perth – a major new co-production of National Theatre of Scotland, Perth Theatre and Stellar Quines in association with Red Note Ensemble and Glasgow Women’s Library co- commissioned with 14-18 NOW, the UK’s arts programme for the First World War centenary.
